The overarching theme of Marielle’s research is malaria epidemiology, with her team and in collaboration with the malaria national control program, she leads research activities on molecular epidemiology, clinical trials, anti-malarial drug resistance markers analysis, impact of interventions. Operational research including evaluation of Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDTs) for malaria diagnosis and other protozoa, and studies on malaria in pregnancy to assess the impact of malaria control strategies, identification of new vulnerable populations and transmission, are also part of activities. Marielle is also a member of the Plasmodium Diversity Network Africa (PDNA).
