Genomic Epidemiology of Malaria Focus meeting and Advanced Course

From the 14th to the 17th June the Genomic Epidemiology of Malaria Focus Meeting on Genomics and Drug Resistance, a part of the Wellcome Trust Conference Programme took place at the Sanger institute conference centre in Cambridge.
This Meeting was immediatly followed by the Genomic Epidemiology of Malaria Advanced course. The course focused on recent advances in high-throughput genome sequencing technologies which are revolutionizing the way infectious disease in natural populations are studied.
There were scientific contributions at both events from Professor Dominic Kwiatkowski and Professor Chris Newbold, both from the University of Oxford and Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, UK and Dr Pardis Sabeti from Harvard University and Broad Institute, USA.
