On 30 March 2015, the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene hosted a day-long meeting on ‘Digital Methods in Epidemiology’ to launch a special issue of International Health on the same topic.
The American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH) Annual Meeting is a leading forum for scientific advances in tropical medicine and global health. This year, the 63rd ASTMH Annual Meeting will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. The Programme includes three pre-meeting courses in the area of basic sciences, clinical and global health.
Highlights from the seventh annual Genomic Epidemiology of Malaria (GEM), which held at the Wellcome Trust Genome Campus from 8-11 June 2014. The meeting explored the genomic epidemiology of the host, vector and parasite, highlighting the practical relevance of this research to global health, including antimalarial drug resistance, insecticide resistance, vaccine design, and mechanisms of protective immunity.
